Description
Full Title: "Wendy and The Boy Who Would Never Grow Up"My own grim modern twist on the love between Wendy and Peter.
Lots of symbolism here, take a look in full view please! <3
I was so very inspired by three things.
- -Moonywolf and her inspiring dark style.
- -The original Peter Pan movie by classic Disney
- -The fact that i have yet to live up to my username "macabre" hahaha.

Love this. Not sure if it was what you were going for, but I can't help but see the winding blue and red lines as veins connecting, or maybe grounding, Wendy whereas they barely touch Peter. I get the sense, with Peter turning his head away, he's rejecting the veins trying to reach him whereas Wendy's are entwined with her figure. Veins or maturity? Love? Comitment? Adulthood? I don't know but the image is certainly interesting to look and extremely well executed. The symbolism of the candle, the clock, the logs, the feather are all such old-fashioned items come straight from the original story but the new details, like the hint of Wendy's bra from inside her shirt, the silver under Peter's lip, it's intriguingly modern and a little more dangerous than the original. Overall, I'd say it's one of my favourite pieces from your work. Well done!

yes, all you said is correctly found!
veins and such represent health and age, which corresponds to eventual aging into adulthood for these two youngsters. the idea of them entwining themselves with wendy is because she is tied to aging no matter what, but peter from the tale of peter pan never ages and loves his childhood.

Hmm...I like that explanation. I didn't see the inevitability in the veins tied to Wendy, how she has to age no matter what; I just immediately assumed her to have embraced them. It changes the whole tone of how Wendy and Peter are posed doesn't it? Suddenly, Wendy isn't wistful or regretful that Peter isn't as grounded but perhaps bitter and frustrated over her impending aging?

actually thats on the right track! I felt he often forgot about Wendy and easily got distracted by other things; his attention being caught by other things-- while Wendy only seemed to have eyes for Peter
