My headcannon is when the Heiarch gets tired, he gets cranky and then he starts to growl out Terran explicit and slang at everyone who tries to get under his armor. Less epic speeches and more glowering and trying to act nice but really too tired to care.
I can see Alarak just sort of really arching an eyebrow at the terran slang and not sure how to actually counter half the things he says. Artanis’s secret weapon.
Honestly, Jim Raynor spent so much time around these protoss, there was probably a good bit of exchanging of swears and the like that were probably culturally exchanged.
Skippy apparently wasn’t part of that exchange.

I dislike Alarak the most in the game. he's a serious asshole. yet so many fave him. but why?

Well, first of all, he's an honest bad guy. He doesn't have delusional motives like Amon and he isn't just a generic doomsday villain like the Overmind. He's perfectly honest and blunt about what he does and who he is, he makes it clear that he's here only for himself. People appreciate a villain that is halfway honest.
Second, it's his personality. Heis a gigantic asshole, like you said. And that's why people like him. Most of the Protoss are serious and somber, but he's just a snarky bastard that intentionally tires to make them mad for his own amusement. He's a troll. And we like him for it.
Third, his design. Seriously, he looks like a Sith from Star Wars, but with lots of spikes. He looks mad cool.
And finally, his voice acting. It's... just so perfect.

yeah the voice acting on the character is spot on. and you do make a very valid point. he uses the Templar as a tool for his petty revenge against Amon. and he also went evil against the Terrans in Nova Covert Ops which is another reason why I don't like him.

I wouldn't exactly call his revenge petty... he's after Amon because Amon promised to turn the Tal'Darim into hybrid and rule the universe together. But he lied to them. And Malash didn't care, because he was that much of a fanatic to Amon. Alarak used the Templar to kill Malash and save his own people from complete extermination and subservience.
Kinda weird how a Card-Carrying Villain like Alarak gives a damn about his people, unlike Malash.

The way I see it, poor naive Alarak just doesn't know about tremendous amount of patience Artanis possess and mistakes the stuff he says and does for foolish idealism. I imagine Alarak's surprise if he were to truly push this super-adorable nice guy over the edge. Psionic storms will surely follow

Annoyance, but I don't think he would know they are foul words - Raynor pretty much throws them casually. It could be Artanis realizing Raynor says that when annoyed and thinking "That must be what terrans always say when annoyed".

Telepathy doesn't really work like that. It has to be clear in the mind, probing is very much invading personal space. Kerrigan read Raynor's dirty thoughts, but they were currently occupying his mind. However, when cussing, you usually don't think about the meaning of the words you're saying

And well...Alarak is a major pain in the ass and nagger.....but he kept his promisses, and that's worth a lot in my eyes ^^ Plus he has an awesome design, voice actor and backstory

He is a really great addition to the SC lore, that is for sure! A good foil to Artanis which made me appreciate also just how much of an idealist, precious hero baby Artanis is, sort of the two of them play off each other characters so well!

Especially considering that the Protoss are more or less the "elves" of the StarCraft universe. In the same way that the Vulcans are the "elves" of the Star Trek universe.

They were meant to be the Eldar of Warhammer 40k fame - that is, until TGW decided to not give them the license. That's also why the Zerg are basically Tyranids.

Actually, I heard that the license was for Warhammer Fantasy only, which, after that fell through, ended up becoming Warcraft.
Besides, the idea of guys in power-armor fighting hordes of giant bugs predates 40K by nearly 30 years (Starship Troopers - book, not movie). 40K is no more "original" than SC.
