Even if he seems (and is) quiet, Merrick is always eager to help others, he is always open for his students in case they have questions and need something to be explained again, to give them advice or whatever it is they could need. However, when he's working on something, grading or reading his mangas, then he's most likely gonna ignore the situation. He is quite an organized person when it comes to his work, always making sure to give his 110% for his students. Though he can be kind of clumsy so never give him your scale models if you don't want him tripping or falling down the stairs and breaking them--

He has no problem opening to others, but he's not the one that would start a conversation, since he doesn't feel the need to get to know others unless they want to know him. Once you get to be friends with him ( which isn't too hard, it just takes some time ), he becomes more happy around you, he leaves his poker face aside and starts smiling more and even making some jokes ( though they're weird and not many people get them haha-- ).
