Overview
The story is about a talented detective who is brought to London to investigate a criminal named "The Jest" - a notorious and infamous serial killer who is known to assasinate wealthy lords without leaving any trace of his whereabouts and identity. Will Detective Mange finally put the heinous lad to rest or will she, by a long shot, tame him instead?

Scene: Detective Mange goes undercover to a Grand Ball hosted by the duke in order to capture The Jest once and for all. She finds him without any difficulty and soon approaches the lad.

Mange: Quite a choice for a mask. But I cant seem to grasp what you really are. Perhaps you lack feathers to match your fish-stenched beak.
Jest : How humorous, Miss Mange. It seems you lack knowledge of this significant veneer.This was worn by doctors in the Dark Ages; the infamous Plague Mask. A mask that doctors would stuff herbs to prevent them from being infected by the disease. Such as yourself, detective. Such as your name.
Mange : Enough with this poppycock about masks and names, Jest. You're not to lay a finger on the Duke when I'm here.
Jest : "Au contraire". Like a Doctor to a disease and a Pill to a Poison- my only target for tonight has always been you.
Mange : Wh...what?
