Β hard to recognize your "coup de patte", in the colours, at least! Why this choice of a bloody universe?

Almost all paintings I do start like this (some don't have the burnt umber sketch). The orange background shows through in my final painting - you'll see it in a lot of my works. I find it helps to pull the piece together, adding warmth where there was none. It's also fun to paint like this!
