Gorgeous work! This piece definately had an impact on me - it stood out in my message center from other thumbnails. I'm guessing you used a light inbehind to bring out the detail? The contrast that you've set up and captured is the best part - nice solid lines with some very rich shadows and highlights.

I wish it wasn't cut off at the bottom. The contrast of the white veins against the black background is amazing, I just feel like I'm missing something down there. Like it was cut to hide something.

Wow, nice effect. I like how you've somehow captured the 'innards' of the leaf against that dark background. The way that it isn't symmetrical and bends off to the right is a nice effect in my oppinion, would be a bit uninteresting if it didn't, so well done on the composition. Contrast works well too. Spooky
