Description
an art test done for A2X studioi got a brief description of a character and what the final had to look like, something along the lines of a Ukiyo-e style traditional look finish, flat colours and ink lines
the character description was just some images ranging from tekkonkinkreet, urban street wear, steam punk accessories, naruto Anbu etc
and to put in a bit of background
so yeh, this is what i came up with
he needs a name, any suggestions?
* i didn't sign any non disclosure, so i think i'm allowed to post this? we'll see~

agree with TJFuzion, maybe i'd add some armour thingies on his upper body at least, but either way, honestly, i really like it, i think its very different from what we are used to see

I don't know whether it's too late to still comment on this but perhaps you could add some "armour-ish" stuff? Shoulder pads... Knee pads... Shin guards... that sort of thing.T he projest sounds interesting, though.

but i totally know what you mean, my original concepts for the character had stuff like that all over them then
when i went to final i stripped it all down for a cleaner silhouette, I'm a sucker for simplicity

Yeah, I'm rather partial to simplicity myself. I just always try to add more complexity to my designs to try and challenge myself, but in the end simplicity always works out best for me. Hope all goes well
