My second attempt at watercolor!! This drawing is a gift for SpinJester !! They made an amazing drawing of my and FunOnABun 's OC Papster! Sorry it took so long XP
I didn't use any references! Though i probably should look up a tutorial or something just so i can learn some better techniques than winging it XD If anyone has any tips i'd be happy to hear them! ^ ^

Are you sure you haven't been secretly doing watercolor since you were 5? Its so good, there's no way this is only your second attempt!

i've been coloring with pencil since i was 5 XD, and i did acrylic paintings a couple times last year... watercolor isn't that different, and i sort of have how i want it to look planned out and hope it works out XD
things i knew before this attempt: how to mix colors
things i know since attempt: use all brush sizes you have available, and add water to the canvas before you paint (I had to do a lot of layering because nothing was blending right X< NOW I KNOOOOOOW XD

ikr, it can be hard to control. i found it looks better by adding daker-than-you'd-expect colors for shading, they will get lighter when they dry

that looks amazing!! I absolutely love the scene. The only thing I will say though is that it looks like the ladder for the slide is facing the wrong way, other than though this is stunning

Right! As much as I love the occasional angst, it would be nice to actually have a scenario where humans welcome the monsters back and the two raced being respectful towards each other.

yeah definitely!! all i want for them is to be happy, i like to imagine that humans are extremely interested in monsters (since they haven't seen them in millennia and probably forgot about the war), so they have a "look at the new cool kid at school" outlook XD
and of course with today's progressive movements monsters would no doubt be supported owo

And even if the people do remember the war I like to think that they're sorry for what happen and won't let history repeat itself. Both races could have lots to learn from one another! I had an idea of making that into an au a while back, but I got sidetracked XD
