This may explain the lack of content from me this year. There are far more important things in life than social media drama. I have not engaged in any of it because my family is the most important thing to me. I have tried to keep up with work, but when you know a relative is near death, and they've been through hell the last few years of their life, creativity becomes a lot harder to tap into. This is my little goodbye to my granny ray, who died in April 2019. She was a double amputee for the last 5 years of her life due to diabetes and other complications. She became wheelchair and housebound the last two years of her life until we moved her to a nursing home last year to get the care she needed that we could not provide. She was pretty much blind and deaf. The last time I saw her was a week before she died.

She didn't remember who I was.

I didn't want to draw a sad picture, or rather, I didn't want to draw a character being sad. I decided to draw my main character Maddy, crying but smiling while holding a pink tulip, which was Granny Ray's favorite flower.

Bye, Granny Ray. You were such a Soldier.
