Description Speckie

Dragon head painting Acrylic, metallic, fluorescent and Gouache paint on canvas.

I like to give my paintings silly names. It is called Speckie because he has four eyes...get it? Actually, my mother has this habit of giving my paintings humorous names, and sometimes they end up sticking. This painting now lives in a small art shop in my home town and the shop owner calls it; 'Mother-in-law' much to my constant protest. I have not sold it yet, but it is on display. The small art shop is my favourite shop in my home town because the owners aren't artists. They buy in all sorts of different supplies for schools and charities and make all kinds of fun little models and pictures for children to look at and smile about. You always get a warm welcome when you go inside and I usually don;t leave without buying something. I hope Speckie lives there for a long time. I have no where to hang him right now. I hope he finds a home soon.

you know it kinda looks like an cross between the european medieval era dragon and the eastern asia dragon, i say this because the pointy upper lip that is common on european dragons and the presence of fur, which is common on asian dragons, and now i noticed the jaw and ears are similar to that of an horse, very nice details
