Thanks! I was pretty happy with it. I did an alternate version that I should get posted in the next couple of weeks, as well.

My pleasure!
Oooo, I'm going to write that down if I ever need a red like that.
...If that's okay?

Absolutely. Golden Fluid Acrylics are awesome, and more people should use them. Now if they'd only pay me to say that...

They should! How many people do you know advertise it?

The only people I know of are paid instructors like Barbara De Pirro.

Love the red and blue in this, and the texture on the water in the background is great.

Thanks. The real thing is translucent, glossy, and feels cool to the touch. Try as I might, I couldn't get that to translate on camera or on the scanner. Alas.

That's always a shame with traditional art. In real life it looks so amazing, but the camera never quite captures it the same. Ah well, your work is still wonderful.

The painting as a whole is pleasant to the eye and I feel like I could even talk to the octopus.

Glad to hear it. When I was painting it I was thinking about a particular octopus I know from the local aquarium where I volunteer. His name was Franklin, and he was very friendly.

Sounds like Franklin has a remarkable personality. I am fascinated by octopi but I am yet to see one in real life.

They mostly snooze all day, but they are truly interesting and engaging when they decide to wake up and say "hi."

That's awesome. I love the colors and the textures and everything! What kinds of paint did you use?

Acrylic paint. The scan is a little flat, but the real one is slightly 3D because I used a couple layers of self-leveling gel.
