Was inspired to create an Undertale AU; 'cause you know there is never enough of those already!
It's not as creative as the other AUs out there, but I tried. I still haven't thought of a whole story for this AU, but here are some points/ideas that came to mind as I was working on this drawing:

Frisk had managed to break free from Chara's control after 1 1/2 genocide routes; Frisk was able to prevent Chara from killing Sans (which would have completed 2 genocide runs) but Chara who's hatred had no limits had manage to rip Frisk's soul in half caused both Chara and Frisk to temporarily disappear from the timeline.

The reason why Frisk has both Papyrus' and Sans' article of clothing is because Chara wanted a few 'trophies' but when Frisk broke free, decided to keep them as a reminder of why he was fighting (for redemption)

Both Frisk and Chara ended up in void (when they temporarily disappeared)

This is when Gaster makes his appearance and gives Frisk the option to take back the timeline so that he can have his 'true ending' and Frisk agrees because he wants to make up for being meek and cowardly. Gaster repairs Frisks soul using himself as a vessel of sorts; collected the power of some of the fallen monsters' magic to create the missing half of Frisk's soul.

With this patchwork soul, Frisk is granted the powers of the other monsters, but can only use it for a certain amount of time because his soul gradually breaks down if used excessively.

As for Chara, the same thing occurred only that his hatred created the other half with Flowey managing to hold both halves of the soul together with his vines.

Chara has not only a physical body of his own (because he owns half of Frisk's soul)but the ability to traverse into other timelines at will

Frisk is able to fight well because of muscle memory due to Chara fighting with his body

There are some other points but I am too lazy to type them down! XD

P.S What should I call this AU? I am coming up empty when it come to naming it!
