Description

This year I had the opportunity to visit briefly the city of Padova and to be in Piazza dei Signori, where the Torre dell'Orologio is located. I have always been fascinated by this type of astronomical clocks.

The one in Padova left me really intrigued by the amount of mysterious details it contained, such as the absence of the Libra sign. This lack is due to the fact that the signs represented refer to the pre-Roman zodiacal system in which the constellations of Scorpio and Libra united in one, but according to popular tradition it was a protest of its creator due to the injustice suffered when receiving a lower payment than agreed.
