I love the Charr. Sure they look like Beast from Disney's Beauty and the Beast with an extra pair of horns and ears, but other than that they are awesome. And I also love how they don't fall for so many of the traps many others fall for when making a cat race.

The Charr have hands with opposable thumbs, but they don't have retractable claws. Instead they have hands that would pretty much be what modern day cats have if they had hands: a proximal and middle phalanx (finger/toe bones) covered in fur and a distal phalanx that is keratin covered bone, much like a regular cat's claw or a horn. And since the claws are non-retractable in the hand, they also are non-retractable in the feet. Sure the feet are paw-like, but you don't need opposable foot thumbs to operate machinery.

Oh, and don't get me started on the theories I came up with to explain why females have enlarged canines and shaggy tail fur and males don't. Point is, the Charr, regardless of their ears and horns, are a more realistic interpretation of what a cat person would look like in real life than literally every anime catgirl in existence.

With the possible exception of Bagi, but even that's a more of a stretch than the Charr.
