I know this is an older piece, but I absolutely love the fine detail in this. I especially like how the different thicknesses and directions of the lines add to the abstract quality. I just keep staring at this - all the different lines and swirls, most especially in the background and the cat's face and feet... it's mesmerizing!
You and your collaborator did a marvelous job achieving depth perception here as well. The multiple layers really come out in this.
And I do love the bird - the brightest part of the piece by virtue of being the most filled in, and yet it's the one representation of death.
Absolutely brilliant work! I can only imagine how long it must have taken you both to complete this.
