Say what !? How can that work ?

Something like a short-range force field.
In one episode (I think it was the Mare-do-well episode), you see ponies, mares and stallions alike, working at a construction site, and not all they do can be done by grabbing tools in their mouth. So, magnet hooves.

And when the siege is over, we to the town repair.
The townsmen cry, "Hurrah, boys, here comes a Grenadier !
Here come the Grenadiers, my boys, who know no doubts or fears !
Then sing tow, row, row, row, row, row, the British Grenadiers.

Then let us fill a bumper and drink the health of those,

Who carry caps and pouches and wear the loupeed clothes.

With a tow row row row row row row, to the British grenadiers!

Well, being French doesn't prevent me from appreciating what comes from abroad. The foreign armies marching song, in that case.

Yeah. I kinda get what you mean.
Although our respective countries histories have been full of war with the UK until a not-so-ancient era - the War in Crimea or, better, the First World War, illustrates that -, we kind of appreciate some traits of our favourite adversary/neighbour/ally/etc., the UK

That also goes for Germany. Their military songs sound great. That's why so many of it have been adapted/translated into the french military song book, mainly in the Foreign Legion, of course, but also in the colonial and/or metropolitan paratrooper units
(here, "colonial" is the old way of saying "Marine Corp", in France. Before 1962, we had colonial infantry. Since then we have "infanterie de marine" - our marines.)

Insightful ? Oh, you're giving me too much credit. I'm just a humble amateur of facts and anecdotes concerning history. Or other fields, here and there.

Honestly, there's a Waffen SS song that starts like this "SS marschiert im feindesland ...". It was used, translated almost word for word, by the SS Charlemagne division, made of French citizens (some, maybe most, of whom joined more by anti-communism than by real belief of the nazism dogma. Or so I've read.). And after the war, the Foreign Legion - namely, the 2ème RÉP, 2ème Régiment Étranger Parachutiste (2nd Foreign Parachute Regiment) - started singing "La Légion marche vers le front. En chantant, nous suivrons. etc."

Just youtube this www.youtube.com/watch?v=JxiE-B… , then this www.youtube.com/watch?v=8WFz70… .
And then this :www.youtube.com/watch?v=DF6Pen…

It had the same tune, right ?

And there are other songs, used mainly - but not only - by Legion units that come from the German Wehrmacht (2nd WW) or even the German Imperial Armed Forces (1st WW).
