I'm pretty sure that giraffes sleep only three minutes a day (or is that some other animal?). Does that carry to this character?

Giraffe avoid being on or at ground level as much as possible because of the threat of predation, they tend to sleep like real horses stood up and swapping their weight around also they only sleep for about 3-6 minutes at a time.
If a giraffe was laid down like thisΒ for long periodsΒ of time they can crush/damage their inner organsΒ (granted they do,do it usually in captivity possibly due to lack of potential predation in a zoo,Β when somethingΒ is really wrong with them).
(My final project for university is on giraffes so I've had to learn about them inside and out, studying for an animal management degree)
