Birch'wings parents died when he was really young. So he ended up having to leave Streamclan when he wasn't able to defend himself.
Blu'tail, his soon to be brother, found him and took him back to Yarrowclan.
Centipede'sting decided to adopt Birch'wing, but later, took advantage of him to help kill innocent cats..
