Thank you to ยขmynti and =Norke for convincing me to use layer masks. You are my real life heroes.This is a very simple manip, for me, but it says quite a lot of myself lately. Hope it says something to you, too.

Sometimes simple is more effective than busy anyway. I like the use of the frame and the little wavy bits coming off it at the top and the bottom and the way you used the textures was really nice too. I would've liked to have seen a little more definition in the rib-like area, but it's just a small thing and more of a personal preference than anything.
Was this your first time using layer masks in a manipulation? I couldn't live without the things.
