Have you ever considered doing a bondage shoot in places like this, or are there rules against it?

It depends on the place.  I don't know about this place.  If it was rated 'adult' probably be fine.  Yes, places in SL have ratings, and I suspect this one is rated 'mature', probably because of the creepy aspects.

If I was prepared as to exactly how I wanted a solo bondage shot to look, could put on the restraints quickly, and I went here and nobody else was on the sim, I might try it.  As a place to do actual role play with others that might consume significant time, probably not.

Last year I had a Mistress in SL for a while that seemed unaware of such qualms.  she left me in one place cuffed.  Said it was good to be 'uncomfortable' .    And luckily that sim was usually empty.  And I got a decent picture out of the situation:

Makes me think of scenes from Fallout 4...

The carnival part of it is inspired by Pripyat, the town abandoned thanks to the Chernobyl disaster.  If you look thru my pictures quite a way back, there will be pictures of the carnival itself.

I love that broken fiberglass "Big Boy" mascot, or whoever it is in the picture.  Always been drawn to those industrial sculptures that are supposed to be inviting and friendly, but are actually creepy as all get out.  When I was a kid, the Pep Boys trio, Manny, Moe, and Jack, stood over their auto parts shop.  That thing scared the hell out of me for years.  In fact, I would try to imagine them climbing down from the roof at night and going home; they shared a house together, living something of an abstract two-dimensional existence.  They moved about slowly, almost in a strange sort of gliding motion, and were very quiet in their actions.  They were mute, or chose not to speak, and a air of foreboding hung about constantly, never dissipating.  At times, they would sit erect, side by side on a couch, silently watching TV, not showing any discernible emotion.  I thought that they slept in the same bed, eyes open, and arose without tiredness, never yawning or stretching.  And there was no transition from day to night: it was simply one or the other- how that happened, I don't know.  The cupboard was well-stocked with canned chili and beans, but they never seemed to eat.  They grass went unmowed, garbage was never taken out, yet nothing about the home ever changed; it was utterly static, a purgatory ensconced in some forlorn 2-D brane in a universe just slightly over-lapping our own.  I tried to imagine actually entering their house, or perhaps sneaking up to a window, but I became too afraid of what I might see.

I keep repeating myself, here's a shot I did in almost the same place a while back:

Yes, it's creepy.  Not far from where I live is an auction place next to the freeway. They sell cars and trucks and stuff.  One of the things they have out in one of the Big Boy mascots from a Big Boy restaurant.  Been there for a while so perhaps they aren't actually trying to sell it.  He's not as tall as this figure though.

I do recall those Pep Boys figures from long ago.  Luckily I never fantasized about their life when they weren't standing around at the auto parts store!

There used to be a carnival in Second Life called Darkpool (I think) that had an even bigger and creepier figure over the entrance :

Y'know, if I ever have land, I think I'll start collecting those industrial fiberglass statues- I bet there's places that would even give them away.  I'll have a Pep Boys type of sculpture garden, and I can walk around in it every day and get creeped-out.  I like that enormous evil looking clown in Darkpool- its just the sort of thing I'd be drawn to.

maybe you could call it a museum and sell admission tickets?
