Behind the Scenes: The Art of Upscaling
I am using the Ultimate Upscale solution (ComfyUI), which, while upscaling, slices the picture into smaller tiles. This helps the Stable Diffusion model focus on smaller parts, rather than creating the full illustration all at once. The final upscale slices the illustration into 28 tiles (for 8k 16:9), so it's like making 1 illustration 28 times, each slice having 40 steps. Additionally, I'm adding a little denoise to each slice, which gives room for the model to add more details. This is crucial and makes this upscale procedure different, as it fills new pixels with additional detail.
