It seems to me the upper half starting at the lower line is painted. The first line from the bottom up cuts across the tree which leaves me to ponder the rest is either painted or manipulated. Either or, I love the shot very much :]

it is a filter named "bi-color: cold warm" by Nikcolor filters. extra contrast and sharpen applied to lower part. thanks for informing about tree
