Well done. I've always regretted loosing my dog-tags after I got out of the Navy. Maybe this would be a good way to get 'em back. And, they wouldn't jingle either!

As do I. I currently work for the VA and I'm very proud that EVERY SINGLE person I come into contact with who works for the VA has this incredible attitude that we're here to serve those who defended our freedom. It's really a wonderful thing.

You have a very admirable and respectable job, i imagine that can be hard at times both physically and emotionally. Thank you for being one of the ones who take care of those who take care of us!

I'm lucky in that my job *isn't* very emotional. Or, at least it's not supposed to be. I'm a "project manager" which is, essentially, adult supervision for engineers. The VA does all it's own software development and I'm involved with those guys. Actually, I teach a specific kind of project management software that's VERY difficult to learn (we call it the F18 of project management software).
The VA is a pretty cool place to work, though. It's changed over the last 20 years into something pretty damn respectable - on a world-wide basis. It used to be a scary place to get sick, now it's arguably the best in the world. THAT'S pretty cool!
