Description
“Many years ago
He looked out through a glassless window
All that he could see was Babylon…
Beautiful green fields, and dreams
And learned to measure the stars
But there was a worry in his heart…
He said:
How could it come to this?
We're really worried about living!
How could it come to this?
Yeah, we really wanna know about this…
Is it like today?
Then there came a day,
Moved out cross the Mediterranean
Came to rest on isles and the Greek young men
With their silver beards they laughed,
At the unknown of the universe
They could just sit, and guess God's name…
Then there followed days of kings, empires and revolutions
Blood just looks the same, when you open the veins...
And sometimes it was faith, power or reason as the cornerstone
But the furrowed brow has never left his face…
He said:
How could it come to this?
We're living in a landslide!
How could it come to this?
Yeah, we really wanna know about this…
Is it like today?
Then there came a day
Man packed up, flew off from the planet
He went to the moon, to the moon
Now he's out in space, fixing all the problems
He comes face to face with God…!
He says:
How could it come to this?
I'm really worried about my creation!
How did it come to this?
You're really killing me, you know?

Didn’t understand much what he saw…”

(My Welsh countryman Karl Wallinger was probably the most under-rated performer of the 80’s and 90’s…
For intelligent, thought-provoking pop music, I put him right up there with Peter Gabriel and Kate Bush…)
Isabella Reyes-Martinez, of course, by of course! Two great things in one!
Although I kind of doubt that anything about Izzy here is 'Safe For Work' to be honest!
A word about Kachima’s sheer skill as an artist – the creative process is amazing, few other artists since Ramiro/Radprofile ‘get’ the character concepts right away like Kachima. It’s like they draw exactly what’s in my head… whether it’s Kyoko’s cheery cuteness www.deviantart.com/maelora69/a…, Rachel’s enigmatic expression as she floats, suspended in liquid www.deviantart.com/maelora69/a…, Hiroko’s clear contrast of her human and demon selves www.deviantart.com/maelora69/a… or Yuki’s cool, deadly expression, hinting that she’s a woman you definitely wouldn’t want to cross www.deviantart.com/maelora69/a….
I mean, all the artists I’ve ever commissioned are fantastic, and they all have their strengths and skill, I think you’ll agree. But this series is special I think. It’s coherent, as a piece of work. The pictures seem dynamic, somehow – I think they tell us something important about the character, beyond their beauty, glamour or fanservice. I mean, we’ve seen Isabella before, but not as she really is… This is the ruthless, soul-stealing Dark Knight, the Cursed Immortal anti-heroine, the morally-ambiguous servant of an enigmatic goddess who will win By Any Means Necessary.
And you definitely wouldn’t want to cross her. Just ask the skull here. If she wants to torment you, then her killing you is only just the start.
