I am not going to lie when I say that I was sick of this guy by the time he finally dropped off radar. He was okay when he was a ThunderClan warrior, but his later actions really stink. He falls in love with a kittypet, even though he hates them and Firestar. Leopardstar was in love with him which would have resulted in half-Clan kits...
Really he was a one-shot kind of guy and later became the annoying bastard who won't stay dead and gone. It stinks.Β

Oh yeah, the series certainly is over-saturated with Tigerclaw. The authors seemed to have troubles letting go of him and Firestar. However, in my opinion he never was a... how you put it?... "one-shot kind of guy". He was THE MAIN VILLAIN of the first series, practically a heart (a dark, twisted heart, but heart nonetheless) of the first six books. This makes him an extremely important and iconic character. However, even iconic characters need to be let go eventually. It was so frustrating to have Tigerstar as THE villain in series, after series, after series. Still, I never minded the prequel and tie in stuff, like "Tigerstar's Fury" and "Pinestar's Choice". As you may hear in my video, some of them I even find fascinating, since they do something new with the character and add him complexity.

It is also stupid how those cats who share his bloodline are regarded with suspicion (even if born many years after his death), but those who happen to resemble Firestar are treated with high regard, even if they make some stupid or serious mistakes. A sign that Kate has no idea what she is doing, but even more that she won't change her tune.Β

I'll have to agree with the books on this one. I can see something like this happening in the real life. Tigerstar died while beeing seen as a vilain and the worst cat who ever lived so his relatives are getting the short end of the stick even decades later. Meanwhile Firestar got to be the hero who saved the clans, so all of his mistakes are being ignored by the public.
