Description This time I wanted to create an illustration fully painted by photoshop from the very start.

I have been inspired by those gorgeous forests we have in the north, but also I wanted to give to it a wicked touch.

New and smooth textures, lights and woodlike colour games have been used in order to recreate a wild, almost violent natural sensation.

I hope everyone enjoys it ..

I like this picture. However, how about chosing another typo for the writing on the left side? This one looks somehow too comic-like, too soft and round, but not like it is there to describe a sort of twilight-creature.
Did you use the distortion tool of PS? I think it looks strange in this context since the rest is so blurry and dreamlike - only the swirl under the green ball looks so glossy and all. Well, just my 2 cents (there was a marking with advanced critiques, so I felt invitated to write down my remarks ).

Well, thanks as the first of all... To tell the truth I find thid typo well balanced and sober enough for my overall works... something which I want to introduce as a style standard... altough I'd love to see any other suggestion you could make, it would always be useful .

... and yes, I use liquify (often, in fact) .

You're welcome. Well, of course it's a matter of taste and if you find it fitting for your works, it is the right decision since it must primarily please you. I'm afraid this was a typical "well, something seems wrong with it but I couldn't make it better"-sort of comment by me since I'm more or less a n00b when it comes to searching typos because I don't include them very often in my works. But if I ever find one I consider as more fitting, I'll suggest it to you (probably to find out that you find *this* one completely non-fitting, then ).

czavelle [2007-06-01 06:51:00 +0000 UTC]

you play with a lot of elements... especially glowing and heavily saturated light (i've noticed that in a lot of your other pictures too). i like how you tie all these elements from form and texture, to again - light - in a visually appealing way. the text on the side seems to contrast the image quite a bit... i see structure and a serious side in the picture, but the variation in lettering sizes seems more youthful and less business like. was that a conscious decision?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

MaestroTomberi In reply to czavelle [2007-06-01 15:01:57 +0000 UTC]

to tell the truth this was a quite unconscious account, since I wanted all the letters in all works to have the same size. However, PS bitches up quite a lot about some fonts issues and that drives me mad, so you could say I take this in a quite serious line.

But going to the main matter, thanks for your insight .
