LOL! You should see the 20 some odd other Mario related cross stitch pieces I have on here! They all became Christmas tree ornaments, and every year we get compliments on our tree!

I appreciate the comment, especially because it took over an hour just to make the pattern! Thank you very much!

So would you say the pattern or the actual stitching is more difficult?
I have found, in screen printing, that the setup,(cleaning up art, masking and emulsifying screen, placing image on the screen) is WAY more difficult and time consuming than the actual printing itself.
Of course, I realize I sound like a moron since cross-stitching and screen printing are NOTHING alike, but I'm still curious.

Well, it all depends, really. I think if you have a good source image, then it's not so bad (take every other mario cross stitch for example...they all had nice clear source images). This one however, I was unable to find a good one to use, so I found a website where I could play Mario 3 online for free, and I paused the game when the pirahna plant, hit that lovely Print Screen button and created a beautiful screen shot. The only problem was the pirahna plant and pipe were literally like an inch and a half tall, and I had to look VERY closely at every single detail and apply it to paper (mentally enlarging it, and the graph paper helped). So yeah, the stitching was a breeze once I got the pattern on paper (I even go so far as to get out colored pencils and color in the patterns so I don't screw up when I'm stitching it!)
