I like the notion of the black and white. However , I think the sepia adds a warrmth that is needed. It adds hope in some way. nice depth of field

You probably would have gotten more of a drama effect by making it black and white, or by messing up his hair... He may have looked a tad more disturbed. Just a few suggestions.
