Description
This is Serena Seastar. She's a famous mermaid for not only being the master of water, but also being a magical woman (meaning she's a magical warrior). She's the mother of Azula Seastar and an elemental warrior. She rivals many veteran water warriors, even those that are on land.

And she, along with her daughter, can sing songs that can put her enemies into a trance, like a siren, before she unleashes her oceanic fury. One of the most beautiful and dangerous mermaid warriors.

Anyway, I wanted to draw her in her magical woman form, but I was in the mood to draw her tail only and decided she wears a casual outfit, which is a waterproof dress lol. Her tail and fins are inspired by not only other mermaid tails, but also some tangs (I forgot the names of those fish with "long tails" or something), lyretail fish, and freshwater angelfish, the prettiest freshwater fish that me and my family used to have in our little tank. The markings are also inspired by fish and other mermaid tails.

I also wanted to make her scales iridescent under the light, but I thought that it’s a little too much for me and the fact that giving her iridescent scales can mean she gave too many of her genes to her daughter, so why not shiny scales? Plus, I wanted to experiment on how mermaid tail scales work, whether they are iridescent, shiny, or not shiny at all XD
