[UPDATED INFO: 9/12/2014]
Character's Name: Bart Couture
Age: 43
Occupation: Pawnbroker
Brief Physical Description: 5' 4" short stout man with bulging eyes, tan skin, rusty ginger hair, thick sideburns and a ginger stubble; wears a olive-colored tunic with a forest green ruffled overcoat, topped with a pawnbroker's hat and mahogany ribbon that matches his ribbon bow-tie
Brief Personality Description: A negotiable man whose mind is always on business; hence his name is Bart, an anagram of "barter", or "bargain", which refer his occupation. Moreso, Bart is bombastic when it comes to fashion and clothing, which his business is known for pawning unique articles of clothing and fabric; hence, his last name, "Couture", which is the French term for clothing production. His heavily accented demeanor is balanced by his gestures towards women, practicing his chivalry on lady-customers. His temper gets bad when business deals back-lash at him, when pawned items hold less value than what they appear, and when anybody questions his fashion sense.
Connection to canon characters (if applicable): PROFESSOR LAYTON - After a heated argument and a solution to his cloths-matching puzzle, Bart gains new gentlemanly ways from Layton and becomes a better puzzle-solver, which helps him manage his business transactions better. Because of this, Bart was able to catch Travis Troubadour and Nina Animalia, both which pawned cloths (Travis's suit and pants) and trinkets (Nina's lucky rabbit's feet) that he found useless and fake. PHOENIX WRIGHT- When Phoenix and Maya Fey explore Labyrinthia, they find Bart's a pawn shop. The first thing Bart sees is Phoenix's good looks, and bribes him into pawning his suit as well as his attorney pin. He later serves as a witness and testimonial to the civil cases of Travis Troubadour and Nina Animalia, both which have visited his shop to gain cloths for. Because both Travis and Nina teamed up to help the crossover protagonist enter Labyrinthian walls thru a motley of carnival performers, Bart's testimonial attack their character rather than their motives, which downgrade the case from an act of espionage to a civil case of disruption.
Brief Background: Bart was introduced to the pawning business by his friend Price, who is currently the richest pawnbroker in Labyrinthia. Living in the wall of Labyrinthia had always made Bart's life easier, but it was hard for him to fit in due to his bad temper and sour negotiations. Aspiring to be successful like Price, Bart found himself dressing like him once he earned some money from his small business. However, he distinguished himself by dressing more elegantly, using earth tones and ribbons to separate him from Price's high-collared ruffles and his overcoat's bright blue hues.
