I was chatting with , a friend from the IMVU days of my online existence, on AIM the other day when it came up in conversation that I had seen Sweeney Todd, and loved it. She hadn't. So, I talked about it with her for a while, and about how it is a perfect fit for Tim Burton's over-the-top style, and she asked me to make a wallpaper for her. I hadn't made a wallpaper in a fairly long time, and I couldn't think of a good style to do it in. Grunge didn't quite fit the request.

Eventually, I decided to go for overly bloody and gory (reflective of the style of the actual movie), downloading blood brushes from and , as well as making half a dozen of my own and making an abstract-background out of varying shades of red dots, painstakingly brushed on individually and then given a lighter red inner glow and outer glow for some ambience. the lowest such level was gaussian blurred to make the piece less overwhelmingly full of sharp, circular edges and to bring Johnny Depp and Helena Bonham Carter into sharper focus. I brushes some more blood on to ease them into the background and make for a more interesting foreground, as well.
