I finally watched Turning Red on YouTube (a playlist of clips in chronological order), and I think it's REALLY good!

Anyway, what if the protagonist, Meilin Lee, sings "Reflection" from Mulan? I think this song totally suits her, because Mei is struggling to find her inner self (conflicted even more by turning into a giant red panda every time she gets outraged, terrified, or excited), and yet she wants to make her family proud (particularly her mother, who I thought I was going to hate, but after seeing (almost) the whole movie, I have mixed feelings about her).

Turning Red belongs to Pixar.

Mulan belongs to Disney.
