Presenting the third in a series of spotlights on some of the lesser known characters from the Simpsons.

*Please be warned that due to no characterization or back-story (or even names) to these characters, all information is made up by myself to exist in my Simpsons universe.*

Third is Rebecca "Becky" Gabrielle Shorter:

Born in North Haverbrook, Becky and her family moved to Springfield when she was 3-years-old.

Although somewhat shy when she started Springfield Elementary, she nevertheless made many friends by the time she reached the 2nd Grade, attending Ms. Hoover's class with fellow students Lisa Simpson and Ralph Wiggum. She became close friends with Lisa, Janey Powell and Anya Sigurdsdotter.

Like her best-friend Anya, Becky had a crush on Lisa's brother Bart Simpson. Bart, however, didn't return the interest at the time as he had his eyes on other girls of his acquaintance, namely Jessica Lovejoy, Greta Wolfcastle, Nikki McKenna and Mary Spuckler. He was also starting to notice one of the Mackleberry twins, Terri, for the first time. Becky instead began dating Lewis, another boy from Bart's class. This relationship lasted for a month or so before the attraction wore off.

At the age of 10, Becky finally got to date Bart (who had recently ended a brief involvement with Terri), and it lasted for a few months before they mutually agreed to end the relationship.

In Grade 6, at the age of 12, romance was kindled between Becky and Mike Shephard, a boy from Bart's Grade 8 class, and they stayed together for several years.

She attended Springfield Junior High School at this time, and then Springfield High at 15-years-of-age, where she excelled in biology and the human sciences. She also became the most popular girl in school after school-diva Alex Whitney moved to Capital City.

By her third year at High-School the romance between her and Mike fizzled-out, and both began looking for other partners. After several failed romances, she began dating Richard (from Bart's class) and the two lovebirds began a long and serious relationship.

After completing High-School, Becky entered Springfield University and studied medicine, working her way to a Masters degree. After completing that, she started work at the Springfield General Hospital under Dr. Hibbert, working toward a Doctorate in Medicine with her friend and former classmate Janey.

She married Richard at the age of 20, and the couple now have three kids - Lewis, Janice and Carol.

Becky loves animals, and has a pet cat "Furball" and two hamsters "Puff" and "Wobbles".
