They are gone, but never forgotten...This started out as a drawing of Chara by themselves, but then I threw Asriel in there too so they wouldn't get lonely... I'm quite pleased with the result. I imagine Asriel and Chara are just catching up now, enjoying each other's company.
I used to be a strong believer in Chara being evil. Nowadays, I view them as just a loving but impulsive child who wanted to save monsterkind. I rather like this happier version of them.

It was actually a YouTube video called "Who is the True Villain of Undertale?" It's beautifully animated and the points that were brought up really resonated with me at the time.

That is true, but he told frisk that they were the friend he always wanted... That seems a little rude to me, especially since Chara gave their life for the underground.

Thanks! I named this drawing "The Children Left Behind" because it's bittersweet. Asriel and Chara can't go to the surface, but at least they're reunited in death.
