Oh my goodness I can't believe he's finally done..!I've been working on this plush since July. He measures a whooping 30 inches tall from head to bum, has a tail even longer than his body and each wing measures about 25" inches. He's made out of minky with machine embroidered and applique details. The wings are wired, but at this size they're so heavy that they can't defy gravity unfortunately. It does allow them to be folded up and posed though.

do you have a special machine? or can I do this with a normal machine too? (or maybe per hand...)

the only thing that uses a special machine are the eyes and forehead details, the rest is done with a regular machine. For the chest I think I used a narrow zig zag with a very short stitch length, I can't exactly remember and the picture's too small to tellΒ

How do you do the wing membrane? I've been struggling to make wings like that myself, and can't figure out how to both have the membrane but also let the wings be able to be turned inside out. How do you get around that?

The green arm and fingers are simply applique on the beige base! Then I sew them up, flip them right side out and do a top stitch along the color separation so I can stuff the arm of the wings while keeping the membrane flat
