the historical character is chinese from the kingdom of shu han in the western part of china

I suspect they've taken quite a few artistic liberties with all the historic characters in that franchise. Are there any original non-historical figures in the games?

well it is inspired by the romance of the three kingdoms, which is a romanced version of the history but it refers to such old events that is hard to separate thruth from myth same as happen with ancient greece for example
