I feel terrible that I had been so inactive last month, but I can say for sure that Northern Italy is breathtaking. To make up for my lack of activity, I decided to post a few sketches of some of the antagonists that I’ve created for my lgbt romance story, Any Kind.

Now keep in mind that not all of these characters are necessarily evil, but they serve as an opposing force to Abby and her friends that often lead to unforeseen misfortunes. They could be unwitting pawns, jaded wannabes, or outright two-faced chodes.

These characters, from left to right, are:

Margaret Jannesburg- mother of Abby and Cody and ex-wife of Douglas Townsend. She works as a renowned author with an international publishing firm backing her latest work. She decides to return to Barder to check up on her kids (and to rub her success in her husband’s face).

Leslie Hopkins- an outspoken and lively young girl who considers herself very good friends with Abby. She’s clueless that she is not well received by others due to her blatant homophobia; she personally sees queers as ignorant and opposed to natural forces such as Darwinism. Ironically, she is also clueless of Abby being a lesbian.

Casey Moreau- naturally good looking and incredibly talented, one of the most charismatic actors in Barder High’s theater club. He once tried to date Abby back in middle school but was rejected by her; needless to say he hasn’t forgotten.

Stacey Van Garrett- best friend of Chloe and well admitted for her natural beauty. She’s a bit easy going and usually goes along with what others tell her a bit too much.

Chloe Monoteranean- queen bee of the Barder High fashionistas. Holds a bit of a grudge towards Clear for making a mockery of her in middle school; by default she and her clique tend to humiliate anyone who may be friends with Clear, including Abby and the others.

Vivica Osgood- current girlfriend of Abby’s first lover, Ingrid Vasquez. She’s a very strong minded girl and isn’t afraid to take anyone down if they don’t agree with her. She can be very manipulative of others, Ingrid in particular.

Ollie Prabst- lineman for the Barder High Stallions. Derek’s best bro. He appears very quiet and complain, but there is much more to him than he lets on, and not necessarily good things.

Derek Kleinhauer- star quarterback of the Barder High Stallions. He’s very cocky and boisterous young, set out to be the best athlete the school’s ever known. He is also intimidated by Zack’s progression as a baseball star.

Roger Colvin- Chairman of Familaid, one of the largest medical insurance firms in South Carolina. Father to Wyatt and his younger brother Brian, but only acknowledges having one son.

Brian Colvin- younger brother of Wyatt and prodigal son of the Colvin family. He was once a terrific athlete but had his ligaments torn in an accident. He now walks with crutches.

All characters belong to me, and I look forward to seeing more of them in the future.
