Description We have a week to tie off loose ends of projects and so I'm going to try and get the colour project done today.

Lust - Pride - Greed - Envy

--

The idea behind the creatures is the theory of Dantes Inferno, where your soul is lost when your body is transformed (witches, the devil, shapeshifters etc) and so when you go to hell your body is slowly consumed by madness and other forms until You is no longer left. The most heinous sinners get consumed by the devil and excreted - the most basic form of metamorphosis being digestion.

Anyway this is an old fashioned principle and one that in many ways doesn't exist so much in today's society, particularly sins such as Lust and Pride. This set of illustrations of the sins follow seven individuals condemned for someone elses opinion or value, innocent people, in other peoples eyes. It's all about perception...

In before dogfish!

Anyway Gluttony, this one's quite simple although I did forget to put in a human feature. This person is completely lost..

Fish are ravenous all the time and stir themselves into a frenzy when hungry. I knew two labradors who found a dead sheep in a field and ate and ate and ate until they died. And male lions are dead lazy, lounge around letting the women do all the work, then gorge themselves.

Since the series is focusing on condemned individuals who are essentially innocent, I would say that this person's sin was to perhaps eat too much of a good thing after saving up for weeks to actually buy the good thing. Is gluttony so bad when your starving? Or when you are usually so very self-aware?

Fishing in the dark...
