You shouldn’t hate it
The overall work/concept looks very nice! Plus, you put nice detail in the paint across her eye. With extra shading and maybe some references for the eyes, the result would turn out even better!
Although the shading might be something to blame the scanner/camera for. They often are a burden for creativity.

Not a very good picture though, if you kinda scrunch down, the contrast changes a little and you can see it better
