Another white flag... It's times like these that I ended up rather disappointed with my self. If only I could transfer that vivid image I have in my head to art... I don't think there's any need for me to nail down each flaw when it's so painfully obvious.
Fanart of Matsuri from the anime Sola. I absolutely love Naru Nanao's character design since it's a little bit old fashion yet pretty.
The idea is from Yorito's promise to Matsuri; hence, the squares were meant to be photographs...falling...
So close to the dream, you can almost see it!

Falling photographs? Wow, what an interesting idea!
I think what might help is... to either make the figure more vector, clean styled to match the photographs (which are very cleanly cut with neat edges), or to make the photographs more paintery and natural looking to fit the character. A more unified look might be part of the solution for you!

I'm considering reworking this again and again while making a few changes here and there in the composition...and then it will be a complete different picture!
