Another OC of mine, named Miyuka, she inhabits the Mulina Universe of mine.

(Heavily) inspired by White-Mantis and her work. Got the poses from a couple of her works. So this is more fan arty too I guess.

She (like Nae- White-Mantis' character) is a maiko working to become a geisha. She is a butterfly (specifically an Aporia crataegi, aka "The Black-Veined White") and an icebender (inhabitants of the Mulina universe, like my other universe are all benders- like Avatar except everyone's a bender and they're all pretty powerful) but uses her abilities as an art-form rather than to fight like many others do.

She is very skilled at dancing and conversation, she's kind and quiet in reality, and fears failure (and being beaten by her Okaa-san). She wants more than anything to become a successful geisha/geiko. Her geisha name (for now) is "Yukotome" the "Snow Maiden" but I'm working on a more original sounding name.

Update: more info on Miyuka: She is a member of a geisha school called "The Matsume Geisha School" where all of the apprentices that have studied there (currently there are just two: Miyuka and her adopted brother Hayate) have Matsume (aka Pine Plums, which bloom at the onset of winter and spring (matsu- pine 松, ume- plum 梅)) in their artist-name.

Therefore Miyuka's new performing name is Matsumeyuki (pine 松 + plum 梅 + snow 雪), and her brother's is Matsumeryu (pine 松 + plum 梅 + dragon 龍)
