yay it's finally finished!a fanart of *SamanthaKateena 's original character. she's so productive, almost everyday i see her art! XD she's got like tons of awesome character designs, but this one caught my eye almost immediately XDDD he's supposed to be weilding double hand scythes, but being the lazy bastard i am i erased them and cropped half of his body too
sorry! trying out new coloring techniques. no burning involved! ok just a bit near the edges of his hair, but i swear that's it!. sorry if the lighting and color looks dodgy >_<
the fur was a pain in the ass to color, but hell i think it's worth doing it coz the character's so cool!

it was kinda easy coloring this, i only used like 3 different shades of each color. sorta like smoother cell shading. i think.

I can see why everyone likes the fur. It looks so effing GOOD! Like candy floss! I like the way you did the hair too, nicely detailed. Awesome stuff but the fur its a definate fav in here. Sammy luvs it, noted me as soon as she saw the lineart for it lol! Let's just hope I can write her chara into SpironX as well as you drew him ;D

The color are amazing, the lightning is wonderful.
The only thing bothering me is the skintone, it looks a bit yellowish to me, but that might be my screen, because it's crappeyy

drawing over lineart? Em sweetheart, you know there's an option made for that in photoshop, right? it's called 'lock transparency pixels' it's near the 'lock' option for layers.
The lineart needs to be opn a separate layer (i mean, there can't be anything between the lines of the lineart (like.. white, it's need to be transparent)

Oh and yeah n_n;;; The skintone needs a little more magenta and a little more contrast, but everything's perfect other than that o.o *pokes him*

yeah i checked out several tutorials but for some reason i can't color the lineart only even after i locked the transparent pixels. the lineart is already on a layer by its self on a transparent background.
i'm using ps7 >_< but it should be the same in any version right?
oh well, using the magic wand and coloring the lines in the selection achieve the same effect too, so anything goes XD
ah i tend to explain things a little bit like a pre-school teacher, hoping ppl can undestand it and i didn't need to explain again XD sorry if i sound patronizing >_<
