Oh my God, this is so beautiful. You wrote this with your heart.
Even without the kindly dedication to , this is actually a rather sad piece!
Reminds me of Susan from 'The Chronicles of Narnia.' It was something about her caring more about parties and lipstick than imagination.

I'm attempting to focus. This is such a great present by the way. I know it means a lot to Jade. Hope to see you writing more soon. It is always a pleasure to read your work. Fuerza, amigo, que estes bien.

It is amazing how in childhood you are so certain of the big wide world, and then later all of that is forgotten in the not so important pieces of living that we blind ourselves with..... Hello, my friend. I miss you!

That's a lovely present, and I am glad I came, and read it because I think I missed her birthday!

MF...
thank you so much for the birthday gift, dear Scott -
for coming out even at a time of your own pain, to write something like this for me, I'm most grateful and honored.
And this - this part - is exquisite:
Amidst the seafoam
Aphrodite emerges from her clam
but in the hills -
wildfires rage on.
Now rest, dear friend, as I am about to do.

Ahh, truly lovely. I think thisaccurately describes most girls' transition from childhood to young adult.

I just saw it a few minutes ago - and I'm truly touched and moved by his gesture for my birthday. Can you imagine seeing it after what I've been through? Not only that, but that he came out after a long silence has written something for not only me - but for everyone who knows and loves his work.

Oh, I'm well aware of the situation. But it's nothing to discuss here, or anywhere for that matter.

Yes it's wonderful - I just now saw it because I've been in hospital (since the day after my birthday) so coming home to this poem, this gift from Scott, made it even moreso.

I feel humble - if Scott has taken the trouble to write something because of me (he hasn't been able to write at all lately) - then I'm truly honored.

It's a gift I never hoped for because Scott hasn't been writing lately, and I've been ill, so coming home to this wonderful poem dedicated to me for my birthday is far beyond expectation.
