Description
This is a portrait (was a job) I´ve made on canvas/paper with black and red (I mean this red orange coloured ones, Rötel, what´s the English name for them?) crayon and carbon. Before drawing I´ve got some pictures of statues and other images of Dante Alighieri to have an idea but make my "own version" of Dante. It is again a very bad copy from the photocopying machine, the original looks a bit red orange and here you don´t see enough of the details

Wow, ich bin erstaunt - sein Ausdruck ist wunderbar ausgearbeitet, er wirkt mehr als nur plastisch - nämlich lebendig. In Wirklichkeit sieht es bestimmt noch beeindruckender aus, denn Scanner sind nie so das Wahre, leider.

Wow that's a really nice portrait regardless of quality. I usually don't like the ones they have in books because his head is always tilted or something and it just looks plain weird. In yours he looks very stern and Dante-noble-esque. Great job!
