Could you maybe give me some tips and tricks about portrait drawing?!
I also started like a half year ago drawing portraits, but I don't make any progress in it yet.

how do you make the (H or 2B) lines do not show up? I mean - did you cross-hatch, then use something such as tissue paper to blur all the light lines?

I don't usually use cross-hatching.But I would draw the lines as closely as possible so that the lines are less visible.Then I sometimes smudge it with my finger.^_^
