A young lady who enjoys going with the flow of life, it’s not hard to see that Himawari is the type of person who tries to live life with a cheery disposition. She can make even the most tense situation lighten up, even if just a little due to her optimistic outlook. She is friendly to most people, and even more so warm and loving to the people closest to her; Her actions can sometimes even be bordering maternal affection, one is patient and can give advice one may need it. Sadly, she is not one without faults- despite her seemingly ladylike demeanor, Himawari can be a little odd at times- her actions are unpredictable; sticking too close to someone’s personal space, talking in a vague manner before immediately jumping onto a different topic, even just her general weird taste in clothes is weird. The fact that she nonchalant and airy, bordering that of a day dreamer does not help. It can serve to be quite an annoyance to some, but because of her quirky personality she finds the littlest things amusing and rarely gets bored.
Her ability to go with the flow of things is able to help her adapt to a scenario quickly and calmly- all the while doing her best to work as efficiently as possible. When it comes to work or any sort of important task, she will be strict, on herself and on others. She has a strong sense of responsibility, giving her a sort of motivation to focus at tasks given to her. With this, however, comes her subconscious habit of being her worst critic, especially when it comes to work. She does not like letting people down, or doing anything half-heartedly for fear of overthinking the situation, and she certainly isn’t a fan of asking for help. For all her lightheartedness, she is a very private person that wishes for her business to be her own- not anyone else’s. And she will do anything to make sure the things important to her are kept hidden and safe, even if it means scheming and lying. In some way her kind demeanor is a facade, so people won’t recognize she’s always thinking two steps forward in life. Himawari can be quite possessive of the things she has in life and can become jealous. Due to this, she tends to stay away from relationships.
TL;DR: Quirky anime mom that's secretly a little emo.

Biography:
Born in Sapporo, Japan, Himawari was raised in a Shinto Shrine by her grandparents. Her family background had been a complicated one; a mother who had an affair with a married man when she was already born, said affair bearing fruit to a half brother she had known about but was forbidden to welcome into her life. As a child she was raised in a strict environment, her grandparents always saying they don’t want her to end up like her mother, who was too free-spirited, too irresponsible- which led to her own undoing. Himawari herself didn’t feel any sort of resentment to her mother, maybe due to the fact she hardly ever sees her; how could you hate someone that didn’t do anything horrible to you? If anything, it was with her grandparents did Himawari feel a sort of tension with. But she did not complain, they did after all in good grace decide to take care of her, pay for her schooling- so she carried on everyday: chores, school, shrine work, sleep. It was an endless cycle, being at home was suffocating for her and at school she had to keep the appearance of a model student. It wasn’t until she entered high school did she grew exhausted at the whole ‘doll’ act- so she decided to let loose, even if it was a little bit, even if it was just in school. She started taking up club activities she couldn’t before either because of miko duties or because her grandparents would think it was pointless. She started wearing brighter colored clothes, talking more with schoolmates; simple things a normal teenager should’ve been able to do. It was like living a double life: In the shrine she was a stern, stoic young lady being disciplined in hopes she can take over the shrine when the time comes. But outside the shrine she was able to enjoy her youth. She even got to befriend her younger half-brother who coincidentally started attending her school too.
Himawari was more than content with leading a sort of double life, that was until her 3rd year in high school, the period of choosing universities. Her grandfather had refused for to attend college, saying there was no need because of the shrine; she’d be managing it when she gets married anyway. For the first time in her life, she snapped and stormed off- devising a plan to get out of this arrangement. She didn’t want to spend her whole life here- she couldn’t. Fortunately when she had contacted her mother to help her with the tuition, the older woman had agreed to help saying that ‘not once did she ask for anything’. Despite the protests of her grandfather, Himawari went to Tokyo for university. When she graduated, and her grandparents demand for her return, she stayed a year in Tokyo before moving to America for work and to get away.
Staying in America for a few years, she grew used to the culture and the lifestyle of living there- although she still misses Japan.
The day a strange video game console was delivered to her apartment, she thought it odd- seeing as she was no gamer. Still it was addressed to her and it might’ve been from her young brother. Upon opening it however, she almost puked at the sight of someone getting killed- a warning if she refused to play the game. She had heard about this in the news-- or what little information they had on the case. She had half a mind to report this to the police- but paranoia set in, thinking whoever sent this to her- was definitely watching. So instead she opened up the game, and fumbled around with the controls- until she stumbled upon a thing called the Brain Battle. She was no good in conventional video games, but she was smart enough in school to get her by- hoping that fact would help her she started up the game. It was going fairly well, until she made a grave mistake that almost made her lose. Luckily, a certain Xenon Christou stepped in to give her some much needed advice. After the near death experience, the older boy invited her to join P0ST- to help solve this mystery and security. After that game, she knew there was no way she’d survive this without help. So with an apprehensive heart, Himawari moved into X.X Company, with hopes this will all end soon.
TL;DR: Grew up in strict household, but wanted to be free from unfair restrictions so eventually abandoned family and ran away to America to work.
