I don't really think Dreamworks copied Pixar with Megamind, It was just something someone pointed out once. Nor do I really think Pixar copied Dreamworks with Brave, as far as red headed Scottish main characters go.Still, it seems coincidental.
By the way, I absolutely Love Pixar. I absolutely love and adore Dreamworks and their movies Megamind, and How to Train your Dragon!
Shark Tale never existed.

Not a lot, really. It's going to be 90% a review of the movie, but I'll be putting it in context by saying that as much as the above seems to be DreamWorks' reputation among the audience, Kung Fu Panda and HTTYD seem to show the company finally coming into their own.

I don't think Dreamworks is copying Pixar nor Pixar is copying Dreamworks. They all may have the same concept, but the plot is different from each other.

Oh good, I was afraid Antz and Shark Tale were real. Phew, it was all just a mediocre nightmare.
I always thought it was weird that A Bug's Life and Other Ant Movie came out at the same time. Glad to see I'm not the only one who thought so.
I always though Shark Film Not Featuring Nemo had weird character designs. Always took me out of the experience. Has Will Smith done animated movies since that one, or do you think it ruined the idea for him?

I think he just does live-action movies before and after Fish: The Movie. Kind of a shame considering how energetic his voice is, but I suppose he can really only play Funny Will Smith or Serious Will Smith (those are the only two I've seen anyway), so his range of characters might be limited/repetitive.
Speaking of Serious Will Smith, what's up with that? Who decided that Smith needed to play nothing but straight-laced characters that are cool and collected? I miss the whacky, juggling-everything-as-he-goes Smith.

Dreamworks is doing it again with "The Croods". It looks more father-daughter based than mother-daughter. It's basically Brave with cavemen. XD

But is it really copying directly from pixar when 'Parent-child relationships' are so often used in stories? The little Mermaid, Mulan...
unless it's about the daughter not wanting to get married and then the father gets turned into a dinosaur or a prehistoric bear I don't really want to call it copying. Just like I don't think Megamind is copying just because they both have superheroes. Who doesn't have superhero movies?
