I think the bare labia distracts from the amazing ropework a bit.
I saw the genitals first, when what I should see first is the rope, since that seems to be the intended focus of the piece. Perhaps using a dark colored rope would fix that a bit, because the rope almost blends in with her skin.
Anyway, the lacing pattern with the rope is awesome, I can't even begin to fathom how that works.

I'm gonna thank you first, because this actually got me to think, though I'll first get with the praise and if you want to skip what follows, you can. XD Like everyone else, amazing ropework, backdrop, the setting, the angle, they all. Work. And without any of these elements it wouldn't be the same, naturally.
That's where it gets into what I got thinking on, the ever-griped about shot of the crotch. First I thought, 'Is this really necessary?', but as I actually probed the question and flitted through some other comments... yes, yes it was. The sensuality wouldn't have been the same if it had been concealed by some tiny piece of panty-work or cropped out all together, the entire lower body has been made to look like a wonderful structure in itself. Maybe my description sounds a little strange, but my ultimate point is that this is a very well thought out and put together image, been done in good taste and still achieved the desired effect. So thanks for getting me to think, and bravo on the incredible work.

I think this is a wonderful shot.
I think the rope work is incredible and honestly I think if she was wearing panties it might draw attention away from the "stockings". Having her nude elongates her legs. Yes you can see her vagina, but it's a vagina, not a big deal really.
I truly think this is one of the best nude shots I've seen, I saw she was nude, but was much more interested in the rope than in her vagina.

Very impressive rope work, I agree with the other person about the model being off centre. I noticed it immediately and it bothers me when I look at the image.
As for the vagine debate, I will say that I don't enjoy art where genitals are the focus as many men already see women this way, bodies/vaginas without faces. That is not to say that you feel this way or portray it in your work. I also, personally, prefer a little mystery to sexual imagery, especially in female nudes. There is something coy and sexy about it. I can't find plain, out there genitals attractive.
But this is of course all personal and I doubt very much that this will affect your opinion or how you choose to do your work, nor should it.

I agree that blatant dick/pussy shots are rarely artistic. However, I would say that the lady bits are merely incidental to this and my other images. The models are nude, they have vaginas; sometimes the vaginas are visible in the photos. It's not that I'm trying to showcase that, it's simply part of the body I put my rope on.

It might be just me, but it takes away from the picture just being able to her private parts like that. I think it would be sexier with some kind of underwear. There was one kind I was thinking of, but for the life of me, I cannot remember.=\
I have to say the rope work is very impressive and I can imagine that it must be tricky to wear. It looks like it's cutting into her skin a little on the right leg and the fact it's not centered kind of adds to the picture. At least to me it does.
