There's a childrens' book called "Bunnicula" about a vampire bunny rabbit. I loved that book when I was in fourth grade.

No, only vegetables. The bunnicula in question is a pet, and the dog and cat of the house are on a quest to stop his vicious slaughter of carrots, which are left white and dry after the vampire bunny feeds on them. Still, a fabulous kids' book.
