The Death isn't about being gloomy, bad luck, or a pessimist. It is most usually, dependent on it's position about a potential for a rebirth into something greater through it's existence and acceptance. But the inversion and rejection of it DOES invite a negative connotation and an actual lose. The presentation of Sucy into Akko's life is, for this analogy, the presentation of "The Death" in it's Upright position. A symbol that something may soon or has been in the past, lost, but an acceptance and growth from this lose can lead to greater things in one's life if one does not givin to said lose.
